Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the XCuts browser extension ("Extension") or visiting xcuts.studio.gold ("Website"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

XCuts is a free, open-source browser extension for Chrome and Safari that adds shortcuts to x.com / twitter.com: one-click "hours from now" post scheduling, multi-timezone preview, AI tweet enhancement using your own OpenAI API key, and a distraction-free focus mode.

3. License and Open Source

XCuts is provided free of charge and its source code is publicly available on GitHub. You may use, inspect, and modify the code subject to the license included in that repository. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the Extension as distributed through the Chrome Web Store, Safari, or the GitHub repository.

4. No Account, No Fees

XCuts does not require an account and charges no fees. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no payment collected by us in connection with the Extension.

5. Third-Party Services

X / Twitter

XCuts injects UI into x.com and twitter.com and drives features of X's own interface (such as its native schedule dialog). It is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. Your use of X remains governed by X's own terms of service, and you are responsible for complying with them.

OpenAI

The AI tweet enhancement feature sends your draft text to OpenAI's API using an API key that you provide and control. XCuts is not affiliated with OpenAI. You are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining and safeguarding your own OpenAI API key.
  • Any usage fees OpenAI charges to your account.
  • Complying with OpenAI's terms of use and usage policies.

We do not process, store, or bill for any OpenAI usage — that relationship is directly between you and OpenAI.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of everything you write or post. XCuts does not store, transmit to us, or claim any rights over your drafts, posts, or account content. You are responsible for the content you post to X, with or without AI enhancement, and for ensuring it complies with X's rules and applicable law.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every version of X's website or of your browser.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XCuts and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost posts, lost data, or costs incurred with third-party services such as OpenAI — arising from your use of or inability to use the Extension.

9. Changes to the Extension or These Terms

Because XCuts is open source and actively developed, features may change, be added, or be removed over time — see the changelog for a history of updates. We may update these Terms; continued use of the Extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using XCuts at any time by uninstalling the Extension. We may discontinue the Extension or any of its features at any time.
